This Is WCBE", an eye-catching overview of the station’s amazing 55 year transformation.
WCBE began as an educational tool of the Columbus City Schools, airing
local shows one to five and half hours every weekday. WCBE evolved from a classroom-based station to a non-commercial, classical music
station in 1967. In 1970, it became a charter member station of National Public Radio (NPR). Then, in 1990, the station transitioned from classical music to a unique Adult Album Alternative music format. Currently, WCBE is an NPR affiliate, broadcasting twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
The 3rd screening of “This Is WCBE” takes place on Tuesday, March 27, at the Drexel in Bexley. Visit our events calendar for complete details.
