 Love is in the air! In honor of Columbus’ bicentennial and February – the month of love, WCBE invites YOU to join US in-studio to record why YOU love Columbus at the ‘CBE Pre-Valentine’s Day Soiree. The event takes place on Monday, February 13th from 5-8pm on the Fort Hayes Campus and features one-on-one recording workshops, delicious desserts from Pattycake Bakery, and station tours from ‘CBE staff. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a personal recording that pledges YOUR love for central Ohio. |

 SCREENING of "THIS IS WCBE"Back by popular demand is our 55th Anniversary documentary - "This Is WCBE", an eye-catching overview of the station’s amazing 55 year transformation. WCBE began as an educational tool of the Columbus City Schools, airing local shows one to five and half hours every weekday. WCBE evolved from a classroom-based station to a non-commercial, classical music station in 1967. In 1970, it became a charter member station of National Public Radio (NPR). Then, in 1990, the station transitioned from classical music to a unique Adult Album Alternative music format. Currently, WCBE is an NPR affiliate, broadcasting twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. The 3rd screening of “This Is WCBE” takes place on Tuesday, March 27, at the Drexel in Bexley.
