The set-up process usually takes four-to-six weeks. After we receive signed contracts, we mail a Quick Start™ kit to your station and schedule a discovery call. An outline of the set-up process follows.

STEP ONE: SET UP
Week 1

  • Attend Discovery Call
  • Join the Weekly Client Email List, checking off Weekly Updates and Promos, Insider and the services you'll be working with.
  • Return Streaming Specifications
  • Return Public Platform Set up Sheet

    Week 2

  • Complete Masthead Design: Send graphics and code to us (e.g., Photoshop files, logos), if applicable, establish masthead content and review and approve masthead.
  • Build Modules
  • Configure Streaming Encoder
  • Review Automated Home Page Features
  • Platform Only: Verify that DNS transfer information has been received.
  • Platform Only: Submit email account information to us.

    STEP TWO: TRAINING
    Week 3

  • Complete Quick Pledge™ training
  • Complete Public Platform training
  • Complete Public Events® training
  • Complete Public NewsRoom® training
  • Complete Public Arts® training
  • Complete Composer™ Pro training
  • Complete JukeBox training
  • Complete Pulse Training
  • STEP THREE: INTEGRATION

    Week 4-5

  • Integrate modules into station's web site
  • Create new home page using Public Platform and build out the desired local pages.
  • Integrate NPR, PBS and/or PRI Modules into Arts, NewsRoom, and Public Plaform
  • Set up and Test Streaming Encoder
  • Set up and test Google Analytics accounts.
  • Test Quick Pledge
  • Test Pulse

    STEP FOUR: LAUNCH!
    Week 6

  • Publish Local Content using Publishing Tools
  • Platform Stations: When you're ready, we'll coordinate DNS/URL switchover with you and your provider.
  • Non-Platform Stations: Launch New Navigational Links and New Home Page
  • Promote New Online Content and Services to Audience
